Panthers Run Golf Links

Panther’s Run Golf Links is one of Ocean Ridge Plantations four “Big Cats” courses. Just north of the border in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, you will be greeted by the challenging yet beautiful course designed by Tim Cate.  The course opened in 1994 as the community’s second golf course. 

Panther’s Run sports smooth Mini-Verde Bermuda greens and 18 holes that weave in and out of coastal forest.  Everyday golfers are intrigued by the natural beauty of the surrounding property and entranced by the pristine preserves the course flows through.  Each hole along the course brings the player into contact with well-crafted bunkers and natural water hazards along the way. Cate wanted to take special care to make the course both interesting to play multiple times in short order and memorable enough to encourage vacation golfers to return year after year.

The signature hole is the 15th, a 412-yard par four with a lake running down the left side of the fairway and a shallow, sloping green protected in the rear by a many-fingered bunker.

Located at Ocean Ridge Plantation’s main clubhouse complex is where you will find a large pro shop that has been named one of the best in the country over the last few years.  Also, the area boasts a practice putting and chipping green, grass driving range and practice bunker that are available for practice sessions before and after one’s appointed rounds.
